The Paramount by H. C. Zachry Fine Art Giclee Art

Abilene Collection:  A cold snowy night for a screening of Gone With The Wind at the old Paramount Theatre in downtown Abilene, Texas.  

     The Paramount Theatre in Abilene is a gem of a building and perhaps the most recognizable structure in town. I liked painting it in the snow and with “Gone With the Wind” on the marquee. The “atmospheric” scenes create a mood and invite more mental engagement by the viewer, I believe. The “moody” feel can help resurrect a bundle of recollections and expectations in each of us.
